Ten rounds for time of:
3 Weighted Pull-ups, 45 pounds
5 Strict Pull-ups
7 Kipping Pull-up

For weighted pull-ups place a 45 pound dumbbell between the legs above crossed ankles and jettison the dumbbell after third rep and continue with strict pull-ups and then the kipping pull-ups. Coming off the bar or going to ground constitutes termination of a set.

Post time and number of sets to completion

Subbed 15# for weighted pull-ups. Only made it to 8 rounds (same as last time) before I was cashed on weighted pull-ups.

31:20 (3:27 faster than on 6/22)

I tried to stay true to the intent of this exercise since I can not do pull-ups without assistance.

10 rounds

3 with 40# less resistance
5 with 20# less resistance
7 with normal resistance

33:20 beat my last time by 4:52

3 strict PUs (first 3 rounds w/ 25#)
5 strict CUs
7 kipping PUs

time = 21:10
PR by 1:22 silent

i cant handle the weighted ones for shit, after 3 rounds of it i just hang there looking up.

So, the only way I can get the weighted ones done is to rotate through grips. I rotate through the grips on all of these but Kipping. I try evenly distribute through military grip, chin-up grip, and neutral grip. I think you're doing fine the way you're going, but if you want to throw some weight in there more reliably, consider doing some of your weighted reps as chin-ups or neutral grip (there's neutral grip on that white apparatus for cable pulls in the back right corner of the gym; I think).
